Rev. Liggens is the youngest of ten children born to Daniel and Allie Liggens of Green Pastures, Oklahoma. After graduating from Star Spencer High School, he attended the University of Oklahoma excelling in Business and Track & Field, and Oklahoma Baptist University to study Theology.

Dee Liggens also from Green Pastures, Oklahoma is one of three daughters born to Darlene Wandick Mukes and James L Mukes. Dee is currently the Director of Education and Family Development at the Urban League of Greater OKC, where she thrives with supporting women and children.
